One of our favourite designers, Balmain, showcased his Spring 2017 collection on Thursday at Paris Fashion Week. The runway was draped in foliage and leafage giving the whole affair a very tropical vibe with earthy tones running throughout the collection.
Balmain is synonymous for elaborate beading and embellishment , however this collection was married with more of a provocative theme, with cut-out detail and thigh high slits adorning the garments . We love Balmain for his infamous waist-cinching looks and for Spring 17′ creative director Oliver Rousteing ensured this element remained in each design.
Likewise, the make-up looks for the collection was more of a natural , earthy look with smudged dark undertones, topped with a dab of Mac’s Studio Eye Gloss which was smeared across the cheekbones, temples, brows, and lips to create a ‘natural wet-look’ which complemented the models’ slick-back hairstyles, as designed by hairstylist Sam McKnight.
